37 vintage-inspired patches for the discerning ear consisting of:
1970s "exotica" : 9 patches
1980s "fitness" - 10 patches
1990s "loafing" - 7 patches
2000s "madeline" - 11 patches
These are vintage-style patches...but isn't the hydra a wavetable synth??? Most presets use basic, vintage-style wave shapes as the default, as heard in the sound demos. But I have included macros to easily change the wavetables to anything you want, bringing new life (and personalization) to the legendary tones of the past. I view this flexibility as a mark of quality and depth...
But if it sounds good to use crazy oscillators through vintage patches, why didn't I include it in the sound demos? Hmm, what is life without a mystery?
All patches have named macro parameters for maximum customization and control. The filter cutoff, resonance, drive/morph, env 1, and lfo 1 knobs are also meant to be used together with the macros. The result? The most unique patches stemming from vintage sound design patterns.
